Local SEO

We build local SEO strategies that put your business in front of people searching for what you offer in your area.

Search · “café near me”

People searching nearby see you as the closest, most trusted option.

Illustrative example

Local SEO helps your business rank higher in Google Search and Maps when customers in a specific area, whether a city, district, or neighborhood, search for what you offer.

We target Google's local ranking factors (relevance, distance, and prominence) to bring you more searches, direction requests, and visits. Whether your customers are locals, expats, or visitors to Istanbul, the goal is the same: be the obvious choice when they search nearby.

How we work

Our Local SEO process.

  1. Local visibility audit

We review where you stand today, who you're competing with, and which keywords to target.

  2. Google Business Profile & NAP

We optimize your profile and make your name, address, and phone number consistent across every platform.

  3. Local content & citations

We create location-specific content and build consistent listings on trusted business directories.

  4. Reviews & reporting

We set up a review-collection flow and report on rankings and engagement on a regular schedule.

Who is local SEO right for?

Local SEO is for businesses that draw their customers from a specific area: clinics, hair and beauty salons, auto repair shops, restaurants, real estate offices, schools and training centers, and services delivered at the customer's home. For these businesses, most searches happen on a phone, phrased as 'near me' or 'area + service', and map results sit at the top of the results page.

If your customers come from all over the country, or you sell only online, general SEO takes priority. Settling this before you hire a local SEO agency makes sure your budget goes to the right work; we make that call together in our first meeting.

Businesses that deliver their service at the customer's address (cleaning, renovation, moving, technical repair) benefit from local SEO too. In that case, service areas are defined without displaying an address, and the content is built around those areas.

What determines your Google Maps ranking?

Google Maps rankings rest on three factors: relevance, distance, and prominence. Distance depends on where the searcher is and can't be changed. Relevance and prominence are the areas you can work on.

Relevance is how closely your profile category, your list of services, and the content on your website match the search. Prominence has to do with the number and recency of your reviews, how consistent your business information is across the web, and your site's overall search visibility. That's why ranking higher on Google Maps doesn't come from a single setting but from signals that reinforce one another.

A point that's often skipped in Google Maps ranking work is that the profile and the site should confirm each other. When a service listed on the profile is explained on its own page on the site, the phone number and address are identical in both places, and reviews mention that service by name, Google gets a stronger, more consistent signal about what your business does.

What happens in the first month of local SEO?

The first month is about closing gaps and laying the groundwork for measurement. In the months that follow, the work shifts toward content, building up reviews, and directory listings.

Local content comes after this stage: pages that aren't copied from anywhere else and that describe the areas you serve, the questions customers there ask, and the work you do. We don't produce template pages where only the place name changes; they tell neither the reader nor the search engine anything. At the start, we complete the following:

  • An analysis of the phrases people in your area actually use to search for your service, and of the competitors that stand out in those searches
  • A Google Business Profile audit: category, services, description, photos, and service areas
  • Making your name, address, and phone number identical across your site, profile, directories, and social accounts
  • Reworking the titles, descriptions, and content of your service pages for local searches
  • A short link and a ready-to-send message for requesting reviews from real customers
  • A baseline measurement using Search Console and profile data

How do we measure success in local SEO?

Rankings alone don't bring in business; what matters is visibility turning into calls, direction requests, and inquiries. So our reports cover customer behavior, not just position. We record baseline figures in the first month and compare every later report against them; alongside the numbers, we note what was done that month and what comes next.

A report isn't a pile of tables. Each month we sum up in a few sentences which searches you stood out in, which page brought in inquiries, and where you fell behind, and we make decisions together based on that summary. The main indicators we track are:

  • Phone calls, direction requests, and website clicks coming from your profile
  • Impressions, clicks, and average position for local queries in Search Console
  • The number of new reviews and the trend in your average rating
  • Form submissions, WhatsApp messages, and appointment requests coming from the site

What don't we promise in local SEO?

No one can guarantee a specific position for a specific keyword; Google decides the rankings, and results vary with the searcher's location. Topping the map results in an area far from your business is, most of the time, not a realistic goal either.

We don't use tactics like fake reviews, fake addresses, or stuffing keywords into the business name. They may seem to work for a while, but they can get a profile suspended. We work with lasting signals and show progress with data every month.

It pays to be realistic about timing as well. The effect of profile fixes shows up relatively quickly; reviews and site authority build over time. In highly competitive industries this takes longer; in our first meeting we look at where your competitors stand and set expectations together.

FAQ

About Local SEO.

How long does local SEO take to show results?

Google Business Profile optimization tends to have a quick impact; the gains from reviews and authority building usually become clear within a few weeks to a few months.

Can I do local SEO without a physical storefront?

Yes. As a service-area business, you can target specific areas without displaying your address.

Is Google Business Profile management included in local SEO?

Yes. Your Google Business Profile is the heart of local SEO, and optimizing it is part of this service.

What's the difference between local SEO and general SEO?

General SEO aims to make your site visible in nationwide searches. Local SEO focuses on searches in a specific area and on map results; here your Google Business Profile, reviews, and consistent business information are what make the difference.

Can I do local SEO without a website?

You can start with a Google Business Profile, but without a site your relevance signals stay limited. A simple site that explains your services and the area you serve supports your map visibility too.

I have more than one location. How do you handle that?

We set up a separate profile for each location and a separate location page on the site. It's important that information doesn't get mixed up between locations and that each one collects its own reviews.
